Left to my own devices with D not around, I’m prone to experimenting with ‘exotic’ flavours, like with this Chatime Guava Green Tea with Pearls ($6.50; $5.00 for regular, +$0.50 for large; +$0.70 for each topping).

The resulting tea is a cloudy pink-red colour with a bright tropical aroma of guava. The guava flavour came through as a red guava, but ordered at full sweetness (there is no option to reduce sweetness for this flavour, alas), the sweetness overwhelms, causing the guava notes to take on an unpleasant perfume-like flavour. The serving of pearls is more generous that I’m used to from Comebuy, but the pearls also have a sweetness of their own that, in addition to the sweet tea itself, becomes rather sickening after a while.
