This Cherry Green Tea ($8.50, half sugar, fixed ice) is my first drink from King Tea after avoiding the chain for some time due to the prevalence of cheese foam drinks on its menu.

The beverage was made from green tea blended with ice and fresh cherries sourced from Tasmania. It’s a deep burgundy colour with specks of cherry skin throughout. Consumed chilled, the drink had the bright fresh flavour of fresh cherries with no hint of the artificiality that recalled cough syrup from childhood. The natural sweetness is refreshing along with the blended pulp that adds an unobtrusive texture that reminds of the fresh fruit.

This Cherry Green Tea was purchased at King Tea in Sydney, Australia in April 2019.
