This is the Phoenix Lemon Tea ($7.90, regular size, half ice, less sugar) from Ninji Lemon Tea.
The beverage had an opaque golden-brown hue with three lemon slices. When consumed chilled, it initially offered a decent Phoenix Oolong profile with a balanced sweetness, but the flavour quickly weakened as the ice melted, leaving a noticeably diluted taste. The supposed “hand-smashed” lemon slices failed to contribute a distinct lemon character, offering neither tanginess nor zest. The result was a drink that lacked structure and depth, with neither the oolong nor the lemon asserting a clear presence. In both flavour and value, it fell short—especially when compared to the markedly superior version from Order Lemon.
Overall, an uninspired and poorly balanced rendition, weak in both flavour clarity and execution.
This Phoenix Lemon Tea was purchased from Ninji Lemon Tea in Sydney, Australia in October 2025.
