The discontinuation of the special edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramello Sundae saw us in search of a similar flavour in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramello only to be disappointed. But we’re beyond delighted that this Cadbury Dairy Milk Picnic goes beyond even the Caramello Sundae!

It’s described as ‘Dairy Milk milk chocolate with vanilla flavoured creme, smooth flowing caramel & peanut pieces’. An actual Cadbury Picnic contained ‘nuts and wafer and chocolate and rice crisps and caramel’.

If the tagline for Cadbury Picnic is ‘deliciously ugly’, then this Cadbury Dairy Milk Picnic is ‘deliciously beautiful’ with its smooth lump-free surface. Upon tasting, it’s essentially a Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramello Sundae with the added sweetness from the vanilla cream and delicious crunchiness of lots of peanuts. That said, it’s not much like an original Cadbury Picnic as it lacked the chewy nougat experience along with the crispness of the wafer and rice crisps, but we’ll accept that there’s only so much that can fit inside a block of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
