The Easter bunny brought a hop to our step during our Easter of self-isolation with this Chobani Greek Yoghurt Flip Chobunny Easter Hot Cross Bun. It has the cutest and punniest packaging, and to our amusement, the only mention of the brand proper ‘Chobani’ is on the back where it lists the manufacturer’s address.

The yoghurt is described as being a ‘spiced raisin low-fat yogurt with cookie crumble, pie crust and white chocolate’. Mixing the crunchy bits into the yoghurt, it tasted much like an apple crumble that’s a bit heavy on the raisins (12%) and cinnamon. Overall, the spiced yoghurt does indeed capture the flavour of hot cross buns, with the crunchy cookie and pie crust giving a crunchy alternative to the soft bread, and the white chocolate adding pops of melty sweetness that reminds us of the sweet, chewy cross on the bun. That said, this is only a flavour we’d enjoy once in a while.
