This is the Bibigo Mini Mandu Prawn Dumplings. They contained 18% prawns. To prepare, we opted to pan-fry the dumplings over medium heat until they achieved a golden brown hue on all sides. Following this, we introduced a dash of water to the pan and covered it for a brief duration of a few minutes, effectively ensuring that the dumplings were thoroughly cooked.

The dumplings had dimensions of approximately 4 cm in length and 3 cm in height. On tasting, the bite-sized dumplings were characterized by their crisp, paper-thin exteriors that enfolded ample portions of delectable filling. The prawn element had a gentle sweetness, complemented by the presence of surimi and cabbage, while the inclusion of yam and carrot contributed a satisfying crunch. Similar to other offerings within the Bibigo brand, there was no necessity for supplementary dipping sauce. The texture of their skins was reminiscent of wonton skins rather than hargow, a distinction we appreciated. The introduction of these dumplings has broadened our options, adding a pleasing variation to our repertoire.
This Bibigo Mini Mandu Prawn Dumplings contained 270 g. It was produced in Vietnam and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2023.
