This Dolmio Extra Fiery Chilli, Garlic & Paprika Pasta Sauce was one of three flavours in a limited edition series released in mid-2019. It contained jalapenos (3.5%) and chilli (0.05%).

The sauce is a brighter red colour than the standard tomato sauce bases with a slight nose-tingling spicy aroma. Served hot, the sauce has a rounded savoury flavour with prominent garlic notes with the heat of the spices starting off mellow and building after each mouthfeel to a prominent burn that’s only a few notches down from the spiciness of Thai food. We’re impressed that this pasta sauce delivered on the ‘fiery’ flavour, but we miss the rich, depth of flavour and acidity of the Dolmio Red Wine and Italian Herbs.
