This is the Kabaya Pureral Gumi Apple. We previously tried the Fuji apple version, whereas this was a more general apple flavour. It used juice from apples grown in Japan.

Each gummy took the form of a square prism measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm, emitting a highly fragrant sweet apple aroma. It had a light yellow base, with vibrant solid yellow gummy bits in the top half.

Upon tasting, the light yellow aspect offered a light and airy, marshmallow-like texture, accompanied by the rich sweetness of the apple flavour, which gradually released a perfectly balanced tartness as the bite progressed. Meanwhile, the denser jelly-like texture of the top half provided a slightly chewier experience, with a crisper sweetness. When consumed together, the interplay of textures and flavours presented a unique combination rarely encountered in gummies, delivering a delicious experience that stayed true to the crisp honey flavour of ripe red apples.
