This is the Kanro Puré Gumi Premium Fuji Apple Sparkling, a filled gummy featuring Fuji apple juice.

The pieces presented primarily as heart shapes, approximately 2.7 cm at their widest point and around 0.8 cm in height, with star and apple shapes also available in some bags. The exterior showed an opaque light pink-orange hue, encasing a yellow jelly centre, with the surface coated in fine sour crystals. Aroma opened with a clean, sweet apple note.
Initial contact delivered an immediate tang from the sour crystals, which fractured with a light crunch before giving way to the gummy layer. The exterior carried a tart apple profile with a subtle lemon-like lift. Texture was chewy with slight tackiness, extending the chew without adhering to the teeth.
As the structure broke down, the jelly centre emerged, delivering a softer, flowing texture with a concentrated, jam-like sweetness characteristic of Fuji apple. The contrast between the tart outer layer and the sweet interior created a balanced profile, with the interplay of acidity and sugar producing an impression similar to sparkling apple, combining sweetness with a light, refreshing acidity.
Towards the finish, the sweetness remained rounded, with the earlier acidity preventing it from becoming heavy. Aftertaste carried a gentle fruit note without residue.
Overall, a filled gummy with clear apple flavour, balanced sweet–tart contrast, and layered chew, resulting in a bright, confectionery-style “sparkling” apple profile.
This Kanro Puré Premium Fuji Apple Sparkling contained 54 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
