This is the Kirin Gogo no Kōcha Fruits Ade Refreshing Citrus & Earl Grey, a fruit-infused tea containing 5% juice from grapefruit and orange.

The beverage had a translucent orange hue with a soft aroma of sweet orange and bergamot. When consumed chilled, the initial sip opened with the refreshing sweetness of orange, accompanied by a subtle zestiness from the grapefruit. As the sip progressed, the orange notes receded, allowing the bergamot of the Earl Grey to take prominence. This was complemented by the black tea base, which introduced a mild astringency and the faintest hint of bitterness—both welcome elements that reinforced the tea’s presence.

The interplay of the grapefruit’s sharpness and the juicy tartness of the orange created a layered depth of flavour, enhancing the aromatic bergamot undertones. The result was an elegantly fruity Earl Grey beverage, comparable to and even exceeding similar offerings from cafés and bubble tea shops.
