This Nestlé KitKat Mont Blanc was inspired by the Italian dessert made of sweetened chestnut purée. Mont Blanc is a popular dessert in Japan where there are numerous variations (using pumpkin, squash and purple yam) alongside the original chestnut version.

Each mini bar was sealed individually in foil with the same design as the outer packaging.

Each mini bar was a beige cream colour and contained chestnut powder and rum powder (0.1% alcohol content) flavouring the cream sandwiching the wafers that were enrobed in chestnut-flavoured white chocolate.

These KitKat had a warm chestnut aroma that was similar to the Autumn Chestnut flavour but with a lighter, less cloying sweetness. Upon tasting, the nuttiness of the chestnut came through at the head of each bite before the body developed with the deeper sweetness of toasted sugar and without the prominent dairy notes of the Autumn Chestnut flavour. Overall, the deeper complexity of the rum and restraint in the sweetness made these KitKats the more elegant execution of the chestnut flavour.
This Nestlé KitKat Mont Blanc contained 12 x 9.9 g mini bars. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
