Oreo made a renewed attempt with Peters into the freezer section in 2019, after a rather unremarkable collaboration with Streets as a Cornetto with Oreo Cookies in 2017. The cones returned with the Peters range, but we’ve been burned before so these were the Oreo Ice Cream Stick.

 

The Oreo stick combines an Oreo cookie crumb coating (28%) with a cookie cream centre (2% cookie). Each stick is about 10 x 5 x 2 cm.

We enjoy the cookie cream centre, which is creamy with bits of dark cocoa Oreo cookies throughout. We’re not fans of the Oreo cookie crumb coating, though, as the combination of the cookie crumbs into the dark chocolate gave the coating an off putting appearance and gritty texture that crumbles more than it melts as in usual chocolate coated ice cream sticks.

This Oreo Ice Cream Stick contained 440 mL or 4 pieces. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
