Guozi Shule Osmanthus Oolong

This is the Guozi Shule Osmanthus Oolong. It features a Da Hong Pao oolong flavoured with osmanthus and is sweetened with erythritol.

The beverage had a clear golden yellow-brown hue and a vibrant floral aroma of osmanthus. However, the taste was much weaker than the aroma. The initial sip was rather bland, tasting almost like water with little flavour, not even sweetness, until mid-sip, when the honeyed apricot notes of osmanthus appeared briefly before yielding to a subtle bitterness from the tea. The distinctive orchid fragrance and long-lasting sweet aftertaste characteristic of Da Hong Pao oolong were completely absent, and the tea felt thin on the palate. Overall, it tasted like barely sweetened water, with the flavours of both the osmanthus and the oolong being weak. This was not a beverage worth repurchasing.

This Guozi Shule Osmanthus Oolong contained 500 mL. It was produced in China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
