This is the Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Honkaku Mikan Jelly. It contained mikan segments produced in China as well as mikan juice.

The jelly had a translucent orange hue with about eight mikan segments, each approximately 3.5 cm in length, mostly suspended at the base. On tasting, the jelly had a just-set consistency that held its shape on the spoon before melting almost immediately on the palate, releasing a rich mikan juice flavour with a bright sweetness and vibrant acidity. The intact juice vesicles of the plump mikan segments provided a strong burst of mikan flavour, enhancing the overall experience. Compared to the gohobi version, which replaced this honkaku version, this one had a richer mikan flavour with slightly less sweetness. The improved texture and more intense flavour made it our preferred choice of the two.

This Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Honkaku Mikan Jelly contained 210 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
