This Whittaker’s Destinations Caramelised Pecan, Waffle and Canadian Maple Syrup is described as ‘caramelised Canadian maple syrup, tapped naturally from the maple trees, with pecan pieces and crunchy waffle in [..] smooth 33% creamy milk chocolate’. It contained 4.5% maple coated pecans and 3.5% waffle cone pieces.

The chocolate has as delicate maple sweetness that recalled caramelised sugar and butter waffles. Upon tasting, the caramelised pecan and waffle pieces give crunchy and crispy textures to the milk chocolate that melts to a smooth creaminess with a delectable hint of maple syrup sweetness building mid-body. The maple syrup gave a subtle but fragrant twist to the caramel that’s usually added to Whittaker’s milk chocolate as in the Almond Gold.

This Whittaker’s Destinations Caramelised Pecan, Waffle and Canadian Maple Syrup contained 100 g. It was produced in New Zealand and received as a gift from relatives visiting New Zealand.
