This is the Luv-a-Duck Thai Red Duck Curry, with each 400 g package containing 60% duck precooked in a Thai red curry sauce.

Preparation involved simmering the pouch contents over medium–high heat until boiling, then customising with added ingredients. Pineapple segments and cherry tomatoes were added, along with 90 mL of coconut milk, and simmered for a further 1–2 minutes before serving for two with rice and green mango on the side.

On tasting, the Thai red curry sauce presented as savoury and moderately aromatic, with clear notes of lemongrass, galangal and coriander, supported by a gentle acidity from lime and a mellow heat from red chilli and ginger. The sauce was relatively thin and plentiful, easily sufficient for two servings. The duck content, however, felt sparse, and while the pieces were fork-tender and recognisable as duck, they lacked any defining character once saturated with sauce and would have been equally effective if prepared with chicken thigh.
Overall, pleasant and very convenient, but lacking distinction and not compelling enough for repurchase.
