This is the Bourbon x Nippon Yell Fettuccine Gumi Premium Beni Madonna, containing 5% (2.5 g) juice from Beni Madonna oranges grown in Ehime Prefecture. The Beni Madonna, developed in Ehime in 2005 and also known as Ehime Kashi No. 28, is a premium citrus variety renowned for its jelly-like texture, sweet juice, and distinct aroma.

Each gummy measured approximately 4.5 x 1.2 x 0.5 cm and had an orange hue with a sour crystal coating, accompanied by a mellow sweet citrus aroma. Upon tasting, the sour crystal coating provided an initial roughness that quickly transitioned into a balanced sourness, allowing the Beni Madonna flavour to emerge with the first chew. The flavour was rich and aromatic, capturing the sweetness, subtle tang, and juiciness of the fruit. The gummy texture, particularly when left to rest between chews, mimicked the jelly-like texture of the actual fruit remarkably well. The fettuccine format heightened the sourness compared to Nippon Yell version. Yet from the first bite, it was clear that the orange flavour was of premium quality, and worthy of repurchase.
This Bourbon x Nippon Yell Fettuccine Gumi Premium Beni Madonna contained 50 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
