Ottogi Corn Cream Soup

This is the Ottogi Corn Cream Soup.

It was prepared by adding 800 mL of water to 80 g of the powdered mix and bringing it to a boil on the stove.

The soup had a similar sweet savoury aroma and taste to Japanese corn potage. Upon tasting, it was creamy with the powdered corn coming through with a notable grittiness that gave the soup an unmistakable corn flavour in a savoury stock base. The rehydrated corn kernels accentuated the corn flavour with a surprising sweetness and had a similar texture to canned corn kernels. Overall, this was an enjoyable and textural corn cream soup and we would repurchase were it not that it had a sugar content of 20%.

This Ottogi Corn Cream Soup contained 80 g. It was produced in South Korea and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
