This is the Asahi Mitsuya Sozaiha Melon Soda, containing juice (1%), extract, and purée from Hokkaidō-grown muskmelons. It incorporates three distinct types of melon ingredients.

The beverage had a translucent light green–yellow hue with a mellow, sweet melon aroma and moderate carbonation.
When consumed chilled, it delivered immediate muskmelon notes with a rich sweetness and a gentle musky character. The sweetness receded briefly mid-palate, giving way to a subtle yet slightly dry — almost bitter — sharpness, before the carbonation refreshed the palate and allowed the musky sweetness to return in the finish. The aftertaste carried a fresh muskmelon quality that lingered briefly.
Overall, a distinctive melon soda that captured the muskmelon’s sweetness and fragrance, though the odd sharpness in the body detracted from the otherwise refreshing profile.
This Asahi Mitsuya Sozaiha Melon Soda contained 500 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
