These crisps have a mellow pizza flavour and a lightly dusted in the seasoning powder. Upon tasting, the pizza flavour was evident as an initial sweetness from the tomato that developed with notes of basil develop in the body ahead of a cheesiness that emerged in the finish. Overall, a prominent sweetness persists throughout the bite, but the overall pizza flavour surprised us with its subtlety — we were expecting a much bolder, tangy flavour rather than the sweet, cheesy flavour we received. That said, the ‘honeycomb’ format is light and airy, and moreish, much like the Smiths Poppables.
