The noodles featured a noodle cake accompanied by toppings of dehydrated vegetables (spinach, green onion), pork (made from pork and chicken), and egg.

Upon opening the package, the noodles emitted a savory aroma with hints of dried shrimp. After rehydrating them with boiling water up to the designated line inside the cup for 3 minutes, the soup base transformed into an opaque brown hue with a creamy consistency that helped it cling to the curly noodles. On tasting, the noodles maintained the slightly al dente texture characteristic of Cup Noodles while the soup base came through with savoury, generic ‘meaty’ aroma, with the dried shrimp no longer distinctly identifiable. This was confirmed by the ingredients in the powdered seasoning, which included chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, and scallop. The rehydrated vegetables were plentiful, while the ‘pork’ provided slithers of a subtle soy-meat-like texture with a generic meat flavour. However, the rehydrated egg was rather unremarkable, lacking any resemblance to egg, let alone scrambled eggs. Overall, the indistinct flavor of these ‘shrimp and tonkotsu’ flavored noodles would likely not prompt us to consider repurchasing it.
