This Lupicia Sakura & Berry was a limited edition 2023 release.

The tea was a looseleaf blend of black tea, salted cherry leaves and rose petals and flavoured with the scent of strawberries.

Steeping 3 g of loose leaf in 200 mL of 85ºC water for 3 minutes, the resulting infusion displayed a clear amber hue, accompanied by a gentle blend of sweet strawberry and delicate sakura aromas. When served hot, the forefront of each sip was graced with the presence of strawberry notes. As the tea developed on the palate, the cherry leaves introduced a subtle, soft saltiness that expertly balanced the inherent brightness of the strawberry flavour in the Lupicia Tochiotome. Notably, the Darjeeling’s inherent fruitiness paired harmoniously with the strawberry fragrance, while the Nilgiri’s floral and woody characteristics complemented the sakura notes, contributing to a velvety, smooth mouthfeel devoid of astringency. All in all, this tea provided a soothing and revitalizing experience, offering a touch of refined sweetness that could also be accentuated with a splash of milk.

This Lupicia Sakura & Berry contained 50 g. The tea was sourced from India and Vietnam, packaged in Japan, and purchased in Ōsaka, Japan in 2023.
