Sanko Seika Nīgata Shikomi Kōbashi Shōyu

This is the Sanko Seika Nīgata Shikomi Kōbashi Shōyu.

Each bag contained 15 individually sealed packs each with two crackers.

Each cracker was about 6 cm in diameter and 2.5 mm thick and had a rich soy sauce aroma. Upon tasting, the crackers had an initial sweetness on contact that developed swiftly with a notable hint of bitterness from the saltiness of the soy sauce that peaked mid-bite. The intensity was subdued somewhat on munching through the unseasoned interior of the cracker, yet continued to leave a tingling sensation on the tongue in the aftertaste. While the bitterness persisted in the background by the second cracker, it did not overwhelm the richness of the soy sauce flavour which could still be appreciated. Overall, these crackers delivered on their promise of a rich soy sauce flavour, but we would’ve enjoyed a more restrained bitterness.

This Sanko Seika Nīgata Shikomi Kōbashi Shōyu contained 12 packages each with 2 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
