Fujiya Country Ma’am Amaou Strawberry Chocolate

This is the Fujiya Country Ma’am Amaou Strawberry Chocolate, a soft-baked cookie featuring Amaō strawberry (0.3%), milk chocolate chips (3%) and strawberry seeds.

Each package contained 12 individually sealed cookies. They were circular, approximately 3.5 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height, with a golden base and a light pink to lightly browned surface. Aroma opened with gently sweet notes of fresh strawberry.

On initial contact, after reheating in the microwave (500 W for 20 seconds for five cookies), the cookies retained their crisp exterior before yielding to a loose, medium-crumb interior. Through the mid-palate, the rich milk chocolate chips softened and melted into the crumb, adding creaminess while hydrating the cookie. The strawberry seeds introduced intermittent pops of crisp crunch that almost resembled popping candy, alongside a subtle nutty note. As the crumb became softer from the melting chocolate, the strawberry flavour became increasingly expressive, opening with gentle sweetness before developing a brighter, juicier tang towards the finish. Aftertaste carried lingering milk chocolate richness alongside a fresh berry profile.

Overall, a soft-baked cookie with a layered flavour progression and well-integrated textural contrast, resulting in a balanced combination of creamy chocolate, bright strawberry and contrasting crunch.

This Fujiya Country Ma’am Amaou Strawberry Chocolate contained 120 g (10 g x 12 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2026.
