This is the Asahi Calpis Soda Aloe. It contained aloe vera extract.

The beverage presented itself as an opaque, crisp white hue, releasing a sweet aroma reminiscent of yogurt, with light carbonation. Sipped chilled, each sip brought forth the sweet-tart notes of Calpis, with its subtle dairy undertone. As the sip progressed, the distinct mild grape-like flavour of aloe emerged, lingering into the finish where the bubbles refreshed the palate for a clean aftertaste. Interestingly, we learned that the unique flavour of aloe in drinks is derived from purple grapes rather than the plant itself, which tastes watery. Nevertheless, we found the mild grape notes in this aloe-infused Calpis Soda exceptionally refreshing.

This Asahi Calpis Soda Aloe contained 500 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
