It’s been a while since I visited Oh! Matcha, so I had the pleasure of choosing from a range of new-to-me drinks to cool down with after a long afternoon in the sun. This is the Passionfruit Matcha Detox Tea ($6.50).

The drink was a beautiful yellow to green ombre with layers of passionfruit pulp, passionfruit juice and matcha that are topped with two slices of orange and cubes of strawberries. Consumed stirred and chilled, refreshingly tart notes of passionfruit came through before the sweetness of tropical punch emerged in the body ahead of a vegetal finish from the matcha. The cubes of strawberry add bright pops of colour as well as tartness towards the end of the drink. Overall, the drink was refreshing and enjoyable, although there’s particularly ‘detoxing’ about it.
