There is no end to kabosu based products in Ōita and this Ōita Kabosu Gummy is another of the numerous we picked up. Like many gummy from Japan, these boast of being packed full of collagen.

Each box contained 10 individually sealed gummies, which are translucent green in colour and around 2 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height.

After an initial crunch and sweetness from the sugar crystals coating the exterior, the teeth sink through the soft texture of the gummy, which has minimal resistance and deliver the bold acidity developed ahead of a prominent corn syrupy sweetness as the gummy continues to dissolve, so that its overall flavour lacked the zestiness of the fruit itself.

This Ōita Kabosu Gummy contained 10 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Beppu, Japan in 2019.
