This is the UHA Mikakutō Cororo Grape, a ‘premium’ gummy candy that takes the ‘real fruit taste’ concept to the next level with ‘real fruit texture’.

Each gummy not only tastes like real grapes, using 6.67 g of grape juice concentrate that’s been concentrated 6-fold from 100% real grape juice but also has the texture of real grapes, with a ‘skin’ or membrane containing the ‘flesh’ or gummy about 1.5 cm in diameter.

The gummies featured a smooth external membrane with no discernible flavour. Upon biting into them, a burst of grape flavour filled the mouth. The inner gummy maintained its shape, offering little resistance, akin to biting into a fresh grape. As it melted, it developed a luxurious, gooey texture with a rich grape taste, that captured the rich sweetness of the fruit alongside a touch of balancing acidity. These gummies, with their vibrant flavour and non-sticky texture, were worth repurchasing.
This UHA Mikakutō Cororo Grape contained 10 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Okayama, Japan in 2015.
