The name “PUR” reflects the French word for “pure” or “clean”, suggesting a light, transparent fruit profile.

The sorbet had a dense, opaque golden yellow-orange hue, studded with darker orange pieces of candied fruit. Despite visible ice crystals on the surface, the texture was thick, creamy, and smooth on the palate without any iciness.

On tasting, the mango dominated the experience, delivering an intense and concentrated tropical sweetness, reminiscent of sun-dried Philippine mango. The flavour was saturated and lush, balanced by a touch of juicy acidity that kept the palate from becoming cloying. Embedded throughout were chewy pieces of candied apple and peach, offering textural contrast and additional sweetness. However, the tisane’s pear and lychee elements were largely subsumed beneath the strength of the mango—contributing only subtle floral tones and a gentle roundness in the background.

While the overall execution was clearly of high quality, the intended influence of the JUS’T’AIME PUR tisane was not as pronounced as expected. The product delivered a rich and satisfying tropical flavour, but one where the tea component played more of a supporting role than a featured note.
