This is the Lotte Jellycious Gummy Shark Melon, flavoured with 0.01% melon concentrate (solid content 64%), 0.01% orange flavour (solid content 64%), and 0.01% strawberry concentrate (solid content 65%).

The gummies came in two shapes, happy and angry sharks, with a translucent deep bluehue. Each gummy was about 2.5 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm in size. They emitted a nostalgic aroma reminiscent of childhood liquid medicines, with a prominent mix of strawberry and orange scents. When bitten into, the gummies displayed a soft and elastic bounce, more pronounced than typical Japanese gummies, offering delightful resistance to the teeth. However, the melon flavour was not immediately discernible as the primary taste. Instead, the gummies initiated with a subtle sweetness reminiscent of strawberries before the transition into a gently sour orange flavour evoked memories of medicinal flavours. Only in the finish did a subtle hint of melon emerge, followed by a lingering, slightly numbing sensation from citrus oils on the palate after the flavour had dissipated. Overall, these fell short of our expectations for melon gummies.
