Nissin Foods Demae Iccho Five Spice Beef

This is the Nissin Foods Demae Iccho Five Spice Beef.

Each package included a noodle cake, a soup base sachet, and a seasoning oil sachet. To prepare, the noodles were added to 500ml of boiling water and cooked for 3 minutes, while the soup base was placed in a bowl. After removing the noodles from the heat, the hot water was poured into the bowl to dissolve the soup base, followed by the noodles. The dish was then stirred well and served.

The broth had a clear deep brown hue with a fragrant five-spice aroma. On tasting, it delivered a rich soy sauce flavour, enhanced by a balanced blend of five-spice, notably featuring star anise, cinnamon, fennel, clove, and a hint of sweetness and acidity from the pickled ginger. The noodles had a good al dente texture and retained their firmness for a decent amount of time, making them excellent carriers of the broth. The overall flavour was a comforting Chinese taste that was satisfying and worth repurchasing.
