The impressive flavour of the Somersby Blackberry Cider – one of our absolute favourite ciders – had us excited to try the rest of the Somersby range. So, here we have Somersby Apple Cider.

The cider is a transparent light straw colour with a fresh apple nose and moderate carbonation. Served chilled, a very bright and crisp flavour of fresh apples came through from the head of each sip and developed in sweetness with a slight acidity in the body before a gentle astringency finishes the sip, leaving no aftertaste. Overall, the flavour was wonderfully refreshing, like freshly squeezed apple juice with a gentle fermented alcoholic kick.
The freshness of its flavour with its balanced sweetness and acidity makes this one of our favourite apple ciders to date, being delightfully tasty and easy to drink. Next, we’ll try the Pear Cider by Somersby to see if their delicious ciders span their entire range.
This Somersby Apple Cider contained 330 ml. It was bottled in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
