This is the Somersby Mango & Lime Cider, a new flavour of their apple that was released in time for summer. We enjoy the rest of their line was we’re always keen to try a new flavour.

The cider is a translucent orange colour with a gentle zesty mango aroma and a moderate carbonation. Served chilled, initial tropical notes of mango came through mellow at the head of each sip with a restrained sweetness. The flavour developed with bolder acidic notes from the lime in the finish ahead of a clean and dry aftertaste. The combination of the lime and the restrained sweetness gave a flavour that recalled unripe mango rather than the juicy Kensington Pride mangoes that are quintessential to Australian summers and also draws comparison to the balance of sweetness and acidity often found in a yellow peach. As far as flavoured Somersby ciders go, this one is at the bottom of the list.
