This is the Gong Cha Peach Green Tea ($5.20 for regular, +$0.60 for aloe, with no ice and 30% sugar).
The tea is a cloudy straw colour with the crisp aroma of white peach. Served chilled, notes of white peach came through with a fruity – rather than sugary – sweetness to lend a clear peach flavour that avoids medicinal associations. The green tea came through in the body with moderate astringency and a light tartness in the background that complements the peach notes returning in the finish. The natural flavour of the peach is pleasing, although it’s disappointing that it lacked the fruit pulp that’s present in the apple green tea.
