Pasta Master Beef Lasagne

Feeling a little burnt out from work, we turn to lasagne for an easy and tasty dinner. We’re yet to find a fresh lasagne to call our favourite and this time we try the Pasta Master Beef Lasagne.

It’s described as being a ‘delicious lasagne sauce of beef, tomato and vegetables generously layered on traditional homestyle pasta’ and is prepared by baking in the oven for 45-50 minutes.

This lasagne comes ticks all the boxes to being our favourite fresh lasagne to date. To start, the top layer of cheese forms a deliciously crispy top over the bechamel, while the bolognese sauce has a good balance between the meatiness of the beef and the freshness from the vegetables. We’ve had lasagne where the flavour and texture of carrot and celery overpower, but here, the sauce has a rich tomato flavour with a good dose of beef (12%) between layers of pasta; the vegetables just fade into the background.

We enjoy this lasagne, though it does lack the indulgent richness of the McCain Lasagne from the freezer.

This Pasta Master Beef Lasagne contained 1.3 kg. It was produced in Australi and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
