This Moccona French Vanilla Heaven Latte is the last of four of the six flavours we tried from this new range of ‘decadent coffees’ designed ‘afternoon ‘me’ time’.
The packaging entreats you to ‘succumb to the sensory experience of sweetly fragranced vanilla flavour with a cream body of deliciousness’.
Each sachet contained a white and brown flecked powder with a sweet vanilla aroma.
Stirring in 150 mL of hot water, the coffee was a translucent pale brown colour with the same sweet vanilla aroma. Served hot, the vanilla came through at the head of each sip with a prominent sweetness before restrained by the bitterness of the coffee in the body. The sweetness returns in the finish and lingered long on the palate. Overall the sweetness from the vanilla is a too sweet, hindering our enjoyment and masking the natural fragrance of the vanilla, while the latte itself is thin-bodied despite its promise creaminess.
This Moccona French Vanilla Heaven Latte contained 190 g or 10x 19 g serves (16.5 g sachet + 2.5 g biscuit crumbs). It was produced in Australia and received as a sample in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
