Kasugai is one of the more expensive brands of gummy candy on the market. Yet, it’s promise of bright flavour and irresistible bouncy texture keeps us going back for more. This one here is Kasugai Yuzu Gumi.
Each gummy is sealed individually in a yellow coloured wrapper.
The gummy is a translucent yellow colour and around 2.5 cm in diameter with a sweet yuzu aroma.
Upon tasting, a prominent zesty yuzu flavour came through with a developing acidity that peaked to a prominent salivating sourness by mid-bite. The sweetness returns in the finish before leaving a pleasantly sweet and zesty yuzu flavour lingering in the aftertaste. Along with the juicy flavour, the texture is just as we’d expect from Kasugai with plentiful bounce and resistance on the teeth.
This Kasugai Yuzu Gumi contained 102 g or 24 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
