It’s well into autumn now according to the calendar. But for the lingering warm weather, we have still have this Smith’s Potato Chips Tomato Salsa.
The chips were a dusted in a bright orange seasoning blend with a piquant spiced tomato aroma much like a salsa. Upon tasting, a sweet onion flavour came through initially followed swiftly by a blend of spices, notably paprika and cumin with a gentle acidity of tomato and capsicum coming through in the finish. After a few chips, a very subtle hint of heat came through from the chilli. With chips being the usual vehicle for salsa, the flavour combination works undoubtedly, but the tomato flavour could have been stronger.
This Smith’s Potato Chips Tomato Salsa contained 150 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
