We picked up this Schweppes Signature Soft Drinks Raspberry with a Twist of Brazilian Orange Essence after being seduced by its pretty colour.
The drink was a cloudy colour between fluorescent hot pink and a salmon pink with a sweet raspberry aroma with a zesty hint. Served chilled, notes of raspberry came through at the head of each sip with a prominent sweetness — almost too sweet — before restrained by a gentle hint of zesty acidity from the orange emerged in the body and leaves a clean aftertaste as the carbonation bubbles away in the finish. Overall, the combination of the raspberry with the orange recalled cold & flu medicine from my childhood, and isn’t at all like the drier and unsweetened raspberry flavour of the Schweppes Dry Wild Raspberry from five years ago (now discontinued).
