Consumed chilled, the tea has a viscous mouthfeel and fragrant notes of Earl Grey black tea came through with a hint of bitterness that provides an enjoyable reminder of the tea component that is lacking in the milk teas from other popular chains. As expected, the pearls and grass jelly provides the perfect sweetness: the pearls are chewy and retain the sweetness from the sugar syrup they’re cooked in and the grass jelly adds an extra soft and slippery hint of refreshing herbal flavour with the slightest hint of sweetness.
