These Nestlé KitKat Banana were a limited run in time for Easter in 2018.
There are 12 different designs and our bag contained 8 of them.
Our bag also contained 2 of the design that featured gold packaging rather than the usual green colour. Finding a KitKat in gold packaging is said to be lucky, so we’re not fussed about the other four designs we missed.
Each mini-bar is a pastel yellow colour and contained banana powder flavouring the cream sandwiching the wafers that are enrobed in banana-flavoured white chocolate.
These KitKat have a bright aroma of banana that borders on artificial (but isn’t really, as banana flavour was just more concentrated and stronger than contemporary bananas that no longer taste as flavourful as they used to). Upon tasting, the notes of banana start off mellow and build to a robust prominence in the body as the white chocolate melts to a creaminess that recalled a blackened banana at peak ripeness. Overall, these KitKat have a less rich or complex banana flavour than the Tōkyō Banana version.
This Nestlé KitKat Banana contained 12 mini bars. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2018.
