This is the Hōjicha Latte ($5.00) from Tea Journal. The hōjicha is lightly sweetened (made according the level of sweetness requested).
The tea is a translucent brown-green colour with a fragrant roasted aroma. Consumed hot, the latte has a smooth mouthfeel with a deep roasted flavour coming through the milk. The white chocolate on top did not add creaminess or flavour to the latte, and would’ve been better without or replaced with a dusting of hōjicha powder.
This Hōjicha Latte was purchased at Tea Journal located at Chatswood Interchange, 44/436 Victoria Ave, Sydney NSW 2067 in November 2017.
