This Caffè Limited Edition Venezia is the second of two limited edition flavours released in the coffee house series — the other being the Limited Edition Cafe Istanbul. The Caffè Venezia is inspired by some of the very first coffee houses in Venice being a blend of ‘coffee from the ancient Ethiopian city of Harrar with Indian Arabica to create a cup rich with the exotic perfume of the East’.
It has an intensity of 7 out of 12 and comes in a brown and golden patterned capsule.
The espresso was a translucent brown colour with a roasted and floral aroma. Prepared as a long black with a 1:1 water to espresso ratio, an initial medium roasted flavour with an enjoyable fruity acidity developed in the body with delicate floral notes that recall lychee before a gentle bitterness finishes the sip. Overall, this coffee has a medium body with a beautiful balance between the bitter and acidic notes that usually characterise coffee. It is enjoyable when consumed black, but also shines with milk.
This Nespresso Limited Edition Caffè Venezia contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019. It is now part of Nespresso’s Inspirazione Italiana Collection and called Inspirazione Venezia (October, 2020).
