This is the Guan Yin Milk Tea ($7.50, no sugar, no ice) with Guan Yin tea, full cream milk and peanut pearls. The drink was a translucent light tan colour with a fruity oolong aroma. Consumed chilled, the same aroma came through fragrant on tasting with a rich and incredibly creamy mouthfeel. The peanut pearls are the highlight of this drink and elevate it beyond an ordinary milk tea with its nutty peanut flavour and firm chew that hide bits of crunchy crushed peanuts for extra hits of nuttiness. While the full cream milk creates a luxurious mouthfeel that leaves creamer based drinks in the dust, it does also make a large size a bit heavy after a meal. A medium size, though, is well worth it for the peanut pearls.
This Guan Yin Milk Tea was ordered at Bubble Nini Tea located 8 Central Park Ave, Chippendale NSW 2008 in August 2019.
