These were Kanro Puré Jelly Purée Oriental Fruits Mix. We’re not quite sure why pineapple, passionfruit and mango classify as ‘oriental’ rather than ‘tropical’ fruits, but we’re fans of these flavours, generally.
The gummy is a yellow-orange colour and covered in white sour granules. They’re heart shape and approximately 2.5 cm across with a sweet mango aroma.
Upon tasting, the gummy has a firmer, chewy gummy ‘shell’ that delivered punchy tartness from both the sour granules coating it as well a juicier acidity from the gummy itself to remind of passionfruit and pineapple. Biting into the centre, though, is a softer jelly that delivered the richest, sweet mango flavour that restrained the earlier tartness. Overall, we enjoy both the boldness of the tropical flavours and the varying textures of these gummies.
