These Koh-Kae Peanuts Nori Wasabi Flavour Coated are a variation on the original coconut cream flavour.
The peanuts have a light green coating speckled with darker green flecks of nori and have a gentle nutty wasabi aroma. Upon tasting, an initial savouriness from the nori gave way to a bold wasabi flavour that makes its presence very well known with an initial sharpness or burn on the tongue before developing to sinus-clearing and tear-inducing intensity after a few peanuts. The warm nuttiness of the peanuts comes back in the finish as the burn from the wasabi slowly faded and keeps us from eating too many too fast. Overall, we’re impressed by the intensity of the wasabi while retaining the flavour of the nori and the peanuts.
