Along with the ume, this Nestlé KitKat Passionfruit is a limited edition released in 2020.

The bag is part of the ‘yume e kitto tomoni‘ series with an encouraging message on each foil-sealed minibar.

The mini bar is a pastel orange colour and contained a cream flavoured with passionfruit juice powder sandwiching the wafers that are enrobed in passionfruit flavoured white chocolate.

The KitKat has a fresh tropical aroma that comes across with initial sweetness. Biting through the crisp wafers, the white chocolate exterior melts swiftly for the powdered passionfruit juice delivering a bright tanginess that cuts through the initial sweetness. The execution of this passionfruit flavour was less refined and elegant in comparison to the Chocolatory Sublime Passionfruit, but the punchy acidity from the passionfruit powder is refreshing puts it ahead of the passionfruit flavoured chocolate in the West.
This Nestlé KitKat Passionfruit contained 12 minibars. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
