This is the Messina Gelato Bar Choc Hazelnut. It consisted of cocoa gelato with biscuit (18%), hazelnut sauce (9%) and hazelnut choc coating (27%).
The gelato bar is an enjoyable combination of textures, starting with the crunch of the choc hazelnut coating, sinking through to the smooth creaminess of the cocoa gelato, the firm crunch of the unsweetened chocolate biscuit and finally, the gooey hazelnut sauce that delivered a rich nuttiness and pop of sweetness for a memorable finish. We were surprised by the cocoa gelato as its very pale off-white colour led us to think it was merely a very good vanilla gelato rather than white chocolate. It was also less prone to melting, so held up better than the Espresso Dulce De Leche.
