This is Ottogi Ice Tea Plum, a ready to drink tea powder.
Each sachet contained 14 g. It contained 100 mg of Vitamin C but is also 94% is sugar.
Preparing one sachet with 200 mL chilled water, the tea was a clear deep amber colour with a subtle aroma of green plums. Served chilled, the distinct sour notes of the fruit came through from the head of each sip and reach peak intensity in the body, all the while heavily cushioned by a very sweet sugary base, before receding in the finish and leaving only the sweetness lingering in the aftertaste. While we enjoy the ume flavour, the significant amount of sugar masks any hint of the black tea base, making this a miss for us.
