This is the T2 French Earl Grey.

The tea is a loose leaf black tea base blended with rose petals and bergamot notes.

Steeping 3 g of looseleaf in 200 mL of water at 85°C, the infusion was a clear amber colour with a fragrant bergamot aroma. Served hot, the bergamot notes came through bright at the head of each sip beginning with a gentle sourness from the hibiscus that complements the natural acidity of citrus fruits remarkably well. Subtle floral rose notes then develop before settling into the slightly sharper, intense citrus flavour of the bergamot for a refreshing finish. Each sip is bolstered by the bold, yet natural fruity notes of the black tea base, which has a medium body with minimal astringency or bitterness.
Overall, the addition of the floral elements mellowed the sharpness of the bergamot in the original Earl Grey and gave it a refined elegance that makes it enjoyable without milk.

This T2 French Earl Grey contained 30 g. It was packed in China and received as a gift from family in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
